The wizard should run <strong>automatically<\/strong> if you\u2019re opening (Outlook 2010\/Outlook 2013) for the <strong>first time<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>If however, the wizard <strong>does not run<\/strong> automatically, then open (Outlook 2010\/Outlook 2013) and click on the <strong>File<\/strong> tab in the toolbar. Thereafter, click on Add Account just above the Account Settings button to launch the wizard.<\/p>\n<p><strong>(B) Select Manual Configuration<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>2. After clicking on the first <strong>Next button<\/strong> as mentioned in<strong> step 1<\/strong>, the Email Accounts page will appear. Click \u201c<strong>Next<\/strong>\u201d again to set up an email account.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li>Click on \u201c<strong>Manually configure server settings or additional server types<\/strong>\u201d, and then click Next.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol start=\"4\">\n<li>Select Internet Email from the Choose Service page of the wizard and then <strong>click<\/strong> Next.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>(C) Fill in your details<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol start=\"5\">\n<li>Fill in the following details on the <strong>Internet Email Settings<\/strong> page:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">User Information:<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p>a. The name you want users to see when you send them an email in the <strong>Your Name<\/strong> box.<\/p>\n<p>b. Your email address in the <strong>Email Address<\/strong> box.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Server Information:<\/span><\/p>\n<p>a. Select IMAP or POP3 (preferably IMAP) under <strong>Account Type<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>b. Enter the IMAP or POP3 server name in the <strong>Incoming mail server<\/strong> box.<\/p>\n<p>c. Enter the SMTP server name in the <strong>Outgoing mail server<\/strong> box.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Logon Information:<\/span><\/p>\n<p>a. Enter your email address in the <strong>User Name<\/strong> box.<\/p>\n<p>b. Enter a new password in the <strong>Password<\/strong> box. If you do not wish to enter it again and again while logging it, ask Outlook to remember it by checking the <strong>Remember password<\/strong> check box.<\/p>\n<p>c. This step applies only to Outlook 2013 &#8211; If you\u2019re using IMAP, specify how much email you want to store on your computer through the slider under <strong>Mail to keep offline<\/strong>.Enter your email address in the <strong>User Name<\/strong> box.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"6\">\n<li>Click on More Settings at the bottom right of the page. Then fill in details in the Internet Email Settings box as given below:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>a. Select \u201c<strong>Myoutgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication<\/strong>\u201d on the Outgoing Server tab.<\/p>\n<p>b. On the Advanced tab, select <strong>SSL<\/strong> from the drop-down next to \u201cUse the following type of encrypted connection\u201d under Incoming Server (IMAP) or <strong>Incoming Server<\/strong> (POP3).<\/p>\n<p>c. On the Advanced tab, select <strong>TLS<\/strong> next to \u201cUse the following type of encrypted connection\u201d under Outgoing Server (SMTP) and then click on OK.<\/p>\n<p>d. On the Advanced tab, click \u201c<strong>Leave a copy of messages on the server<\/strong>\u201d under Delivery if you\u2019re using POP3 and wish to keep a copy of your messages on the sever. If you don\u2019t select this, all messages will be removed from the server and stored on your machine locally.<\/p>\n<p><strong>(D) Finally, Let (Outlook 2010\/Outlook 2013) test Account<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>7. Click on Next on the Add New Account page. This will <strong>prompt<\/strong> Outlook to test your Account and see if everything is ok. Once the <strong>test<\/strong> is over, click on Close to dismiss the dialog box.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"8\">\n<li>Click on <strong>Finish<\/strong> on the Congratulations page.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol start=\"9\">\n<li>Click on <strong>Close<\/strong> on the Account Settings page.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol start=\"10\">\n<li>If you&#8217;re using <strong>IMAP4<\/strong>, you may encounter a message inquiry if you want to download folders for the mail server that you added. If this happens, click on Yes.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol start=\"11\">\n<li>Select which folders to <strong>synchronize<\/strong> between the server and your local computer using the (Outlook 2010\/Outlook 2013) user interface, and then click on OK.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Issues Faced During This Process&amp; Their Solutions<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Though the steps mentioned above for <strong>Office 365<\/strong> manual <strong>setup<\/strong> are quite straightforward and simple, some users might face technical issues while connecting their individual user accounts.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Here is a look at such issues:<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Issue 1:<\/strong> Periodic &amp; Random <strong>dis-connectivity<\/strong> of Outlook<\/p>\n<p><strong>Solution:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To resolve this issue for a <strong>single user<\/strong> in Outlook 2010\/Outlook 2013, go to File -&gt; Account Settings -&gt; Account Settings. Finally, follow the same steps as mentioned in the solution for <strong>Issue 1<\/strong> to repair the Outlook profile.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Issue 3:<\/strong> Outlook <strong>Performance<\/strong> issues<\/p>\n<p><strong>Solution:<\/strong> To resolve this issue for a single user in Outlook 2010\/Outlook 2013, go to <strong>File -&gt; Account Settings -&gt; Account Settings<\/strong>. On the Email tab select the user&#8217;s Exchange Server account, click Change, and then ensure that \u201c<strong>Use Cached Exchange Mode<\/strong>\u201d is selected.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Issue 4:<\/strong> Outlook repeatedly asks for <strong>login credentials<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Solution:<\/strong> To resolve this issue, verify if you have single sign-on (SSO) configured for your Profile. Thereafter, check for any connectivity issues with your profile. Then on the client workstation of the affected user, go to <strong>Control Panel -&gt; User Accounts -&gt; Credential Manager -&gt; Windows Credentials<\/strong>. In the list that appears, look for <strong>Office 365 credentials<\/strong>.
